PRIVACY STATEMENT

No personal information is required to use jonandjayne.com. However, as explained below, if you wish to submit a story for possible publication, if you wish to participate in a contest, or if you wish to subscribe to Jon & Jayne e-News, you will be asked to supply the minimum amount of personal data necessary to participate.

Stories and Contests

This website allows anyone age 13 and over to submit a story or enter a contest over the internet. In order to be a valid entry, the following information is necessary: Your name, birth date, address, and e-mail address. This information is temporarily stored in a secure database. It is NOT used for marketing purposes. It is NOT shared with any third party (that is, anyone who is not involved with The Jon & Jayne Doe Series). If your story or contest entry is among those stories or contest entries chosen for publication on the website or in an upcoming issue in The Jon & Jayne Doe Series, this information will be used to notify you once by e-mail and once by registered mail that your material is under consideration. Thereafter, written parental consent is required for further consideration. Necessary paperwork will be included in the mailing. If parental consent is not given within sixty (60) days of registered mail notification, your information and submission are deleted from the database. If the story or contest entry is not under consideration, your information and submission are deleted from the database.

Jon & Jayne e-News

To subscribe to Jon & Jayne e-News, the following information is necessary: your e-mail address and birth date. A parent’s e-mail address may also be requested to notify the parent that you have subscribed to Jon & Jayne e-News and to give them the option of rescinding your request. Jon & Jayne e-News will be sent to your e-mail address whenever Jon & Jayne have something new to tell you. You have the option of unsubscribing to Jon & Jayne e-News at any time.

7F Forum

Comments posted to the 7F Forum are screened for any personally identifiable information or inappropriate material prior to posting to the site. Any personally identifiable information or inappropriate material is removed and deleted prior to posting to the website. Any material posted to the 7F Forum becomes the property of The Jon & Jayne Doe Series and may be published in an upcoming issue in The Jon & Jayne Doe Series or on the website. See “Terms of Use” below.

TelltheWorld

Comments submitted to the TelltheWorld feature are screened for any personally identifiable information or inappropriate material. Any personally identifiable information or inappropriate material is removed and deleted. Users are asked to submit their TelltheWorld comment with their first name or nickname only. Any material submitted to TelltheWorld becomes the property of The Jon & Jayne Doe Series and may be published in an upcoming issue in The Jon & Jayne Doe Series or on the website with the user’s first name or nickname. Conundrums & Solutions

This feature is not intended as a substitute for consulting with a professional mental-healthcare practitioner. Jonandjayne.com users can submit their conundrums to Jon & Jayne for possible publication and response in an upcoming issue in The Jon & Jayne Doe Series or on the website. Users are asked to sign these conundrums with the user’s first name or nickname. This information is collected and published without any personal data. See “Terms of Use” below.

The Jon & Jayne Doe Series e-Questionnaire

Only age and gender are required to fill out The Jon & Jayne Doe Series e-Questionnaire. No personally identifiable information is collected. The general information regarding likes and dislikes is used solely for research purposes. Any personally identifiable information that is inadvertently entered into the e-Questionnaire is deleted.

The security of personally identifiable information associated with users who submit such information through this website is extremely important to us.
