Hey BookWurm, thanks for writing. I'm too old to offer advice to you other than try reading the 1st jon & jayne book (instead of that depressing journal)--the suggestions for finding friends are all from teens and may be a good place for you to start finding answers.
Sometimes the best friends are those you know the least. I like Max's line about solitude being good at times.
